Our History
HISTORY
Once upon a time, there was a love of quality. It still exists.
It was 1977 when the Casalasco Tomato Consortium came to life. A cooperative was born that brought together and united all the local tomato producers into a single entity.
Our excellence, what numbers
Founded in 1977
in the province of Cremona
800 associated farms
12.000 hectares
cultivated with tomatoes
Over 850,000 tons of fresh tomatoes processed
The intention at the time was to offer the market not only the fruit of cultivation, but the processed product, ready for use.
A finished product that stands out for the quality of the tomatoes, for their freshness and goodness.
Over the course of nearly 50 years of business, our producers have grown: today, there are 800 associated farms. Over these decades, we've opened new plants and seen a growth in the number of brands and producers using our tomatoes.
Time has translated into passion and experience: these are the elements that have helped us become the leading Italian supply chain for tomato production and processing.
But one thing has remained unchanged since our founding: the quality that still underpins every stage of production. A blend of taste and authenticity that we want to bring to your table.
OUR STRENGTH,
THEIR PASSION FOR THE LAND.
When the fruit of the earth grows in optimal conditions, following shared rules and quality systems, the result is guaranteed. What makes the difference, in these cases, is the passion and tenacity of those who put their hands to it. And our farmers do it every day. Their faces are those of our company's members, people spread across the Po Valley and primarily across the provinces of Cremona, Parma, Piacenza, and Mantua. They are the heart and soul of the cooperative.
