WE TAKE CARE
OF OUR PLANET
We are committed to protecting the environment at all stages of our business: in the field, in production, and in product design and development. We measure and monitor our environmental impacts and are committed to continuous improvement.
A LAND, ITS RESOURCES.
OUR IDEAS.
Our love for our tomatoes begins with complete respect for the land that supports them and watches them grow. And for the people who work hard every day to help us create a delicious, safe, and authentic finished product.
For us at the Consortium, respect means investing in programs and actions aimed at protecting the environment and human resources.
This is why we strive every day to implement our ideas and pursue a sustainability path punctuated by initiatives on multiple fronts and constantly evolving.
AN AGRICULTURE
CAPABLE OF PROTECTING BIODIVERSITY
The Casalasco Tomato Consortium's factories are located in an area particularly suited to agricultural production, the result of a long-standing tradition that has evolved to develop one of Europe's most advanced agri-food supply chains.
Agriculture not only serves the production of essential goods, but also protects the land, safeguards biodiversity, and cultivates local varieties. The environmental impact of farms must therefore be monitored so that land cultivation represents an opportunity for growth and enrichment of the region.
For this reason, since 2001, all the companies producing tomatoes processed by the cooperative have adhered to the Integrated Supply Chain Regulations and since 2009 have operated in compliance with the Globalgap (Good Agricultural Practice) standard.
Casalasco Consortium promotes the participation of member companies in sustainable agriculture projects by offering technical support and technologies such as the use of precision farming technologies.
NATIONAL QUALITY SYSTEM
FOR INTEGRATED PRODUCTION AND SQNPI OBSERVATORY
For the 2024 campaign, Casalasco Tomato Consortium has been included in the SQNPI control and certification system for agro-climatic and environmental compliance.
The SQNPI observatory has been established to which every citizen can report any behaviour that does not comply with the SQNPI standard, by operators in the quality regime, with the following procedures set out in paragraph 8.4 of the standard "adherence to management and control of SQNPI" available on the National Rural Integrated Production Network (reterurale.it)
Reports should be sent to the address to OsservatorioSQNPI@masaf.gov.it and must contain:
- Sender's details
- Operator's details (indicate company name/address of the company adhering to SQNPI)
- Non-compliant behaviors subject to reporting (if possible detected by numbering present in Annex I to the SQNPI Control Plans available on the National Rural Integrated Production Network (reterurale.it)
Reports will be reviewed by the relevant committee, the Technical Quality Group, and managed through a strengthened review procedure. Reports that are generic or lack the listed elements will not be considered.
