Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro and Consorzio Agrario visit Pope Francis

Rome, Saturday 20th February_ 50.000 was the number of devotees crowding St.Peter’s Square on Saturday morning, to attend the audience that Pope Francis holds one Saturday a month to meet his devotees, come to Rome from all over the world for the Jubilee of Mercy.

During the whole meeting, the large delegation of associates of Consorzio Casalasco (Pomì) and Consorzio Agrario participated with great involvement.

At the conclusion of the audience, the President of the two Groups, Paolo Voltini, together with the respective Directors Costantino Vaia and Pietro Pagliuca and with Father Luigi Pisani – parish priest of Rivarolo del Re – had the opportunity to converse with the Holy Father, personally presenting Him with a violin, a distinctive symbol of the community of Cremona, crafted by the prestigious Lutherie International School, which trains students from all over the world every year.

The violin, bearing the emblem of the Jubilee Year, is meant to be consigned to the students of “Scholas Occurrentes”:  a network of educational establishments founded by the Holy Father in Buenos Aires, committed to the education of young people through technology, sports and arts, with particular reference to music, in order to promote social integration and culture of encounter for peace.

This experience represented a unique occasion of great emotional involvement, which deeply touched all the associates.
